She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Burton "Burt" Johnson and Avileen Ruth Bouts Johnson; her husband Danny Leon Hicks; and her son Denver Eugene Hicks. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Hicks (Jessica) of Greenfield, Della Hicks of Waverly and Kell Hicks (Fiance' Beth Wilson) of Cincinnati; her grandchildren, Denver Eugene Hicks II (Fiance' Elizabeth Echard) of Harrisville, Cynthia Hicks (Fiance' Patrick Bigelow) of Brockton, Jayden Harris of Greenfield, Jamison Burney of Greenfield, Jaxon Burney of Greenfield and Paden Francis of Greenfield; her great grandchildren, Meredith Hicks and Mallory Bigelow; and her siblings, Robert Johnson of Peebles and Karen Nickell (Russ) of Beaver. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home (5856 Beaver Pike, Beaver, OH 45613). A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the South Webster Cemetery. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home (5856 Beaver Pike, Beaver, OH 45613).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home.
