With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nathaniel Reed Sr. of Waverly, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 15, 2025 at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Reed and Nancy Reed; his sister Carrie Doughty; and his niece Brandy Tracy. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Woodrum Reed; his children, Nathaniel Reed (Lisa) of Greenfield, Dianna Carter (Shawn) of Chillicothe, Mathew Reed (Wendy) of Frankfort and Elizabeth Reed of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Irene Masters (Mike), Nathaniel Reed (Whitney), Nick Reed (Christina), Zack Reed (Maddie), Joey Miller, Dylan Reed (Makenzie), Justin Reed, Sarah Leverone, Joshua Reed, Avery Reed and Tyler Reed (Brianne); his great grandchildren, Nova, Alana, Colton, Little Nathan, Little Nick, Luk, Alexis, Little Zack, Adalynn, Remington, Braillee, Avalynn and Maralo; his siblings, Alice Simpkins (Ronnie) of Columbus, Christina Morris (Keith) of Chillicothe, Ralph Reed (Lisa) of Londonderry, Lorraine Reed of Columbus, Paul Reed of Londonderry and William Reed; and his uncle Albert Reed of Otway. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home (314 E North St, Waverly, OH 45690). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at the Evergreen Union Cemetery (616 Bridge St, Waverly, OH 45690).
