He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman McCoy and Wilma Lucille McCoy (Oliver); his wife Janet McCoy (Hatfield); and his granddaughter Brooklin Burton. He is survived by: his children, Anthony Hatfield (Amy), Donna McCoy (Michael Music), Katherine McCoy (Dustin Schuyler) and Amanda Benson (Stacey); and his brothers, Timothy McCoy, Herman McCoy, Jim McCoy and Sargent Buddy McCoy. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Funeral Home (724 E Main St, Piketon, OH 45661). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
