He was predeceased by: his parents, William O. McDonie and Mae McDonie; his parents-in-law, Fred and Eliza Ferguson; his siblings, William Joseph McDonie and Joyce Ann Gullett; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Bailey, Tom Kuehne, Ronnie Mollette and Kay Ferguson; his nephews, Adam Kuehne and Jacob Ferguson; his niece Mary Beth Cobbler; and his great-nephew Nicholas Kuehne.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Evelyn McDonie (Ferguson); his sons, Wesley Owen McDonie (Johnna) of Waverly, Daniel Corey McDonie (Darbie) of Lewisville, Robert Joseph McDonie of Carrollton, Charles Edward McDonie (Andrea) of Circleville and Samuel Adam McDonie (Shayna) of Frankfort, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Cora Danielle, Tennyson Layne, Owen Riley, William Joseph, Charles Augustus, Wallace David, Ian James, Matthew Rory, Ezra Lee, Haven Lily, Eliza Mae and Declan Blaine; his siblings, Albert McDonie (Arlene), David McDonie (Susan), Rick McDonie (Cindy), Karen Bailey and Sharon Fuhr (Bobby); his siblings-in-law, Freda McDonie and Kenny Gullett; and his aunt Janet. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins.
