He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Tackett and Hannah Tackett (Montgomery); and his siblings, Fannie Mankin, Betty Ramey, Candy Mae McFadden, Gladys Fyffe, Dockie Tackett, Arnold Lee Tackett, William "Red" Tackett and Ernest Tackett.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Elaine Tackett (Smith); his daughters, Robin Williams (Tim), Lori Barker (Gary), Jill Minor (Tom) and Sherry Williams; his grandchildren, Garrett Barker, Landon Barker, Alexa Minor, Clayton Minor, Desiree Beekman, Kyle Williams, Ryan Williams and Ashley Williams; and his brother Lawrence Tackett (Linda). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
