He was predeceased by : his parents, John Henry Green and Laura Belle Liddle Green; his wife Karen Fraley Green; his daughter Janie Drinkwater; his stepsons, Mark and Eric Moore; and his siblings, Annabelle, Ellie, Wanda, Winona, Bonnie and Ed.

He is survived by : his sister Shirley Miller; and his friend Walt Mercer.
