He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin E. Deiter and Lela A. Deiter (Damschroder); his sister Mary Margaret Sewell; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Sewell and Vic Rutherford.
He is survived by: his wife Janice A. Kline (Jan); his children, DJ Deiter (Amy Walters-Deiter) of Bowling Green and Stephanie Herr (Jason) of Wayne; his sister Orvella Rutherford of Friendly, WV; his grandchildren, Austin Switzer (Mia), Cameron Deiter, Landon Deiter, Bryant Switzer, Peyton Switzer, Jessica Herr, Kaitlyn Herr and Remington Herr; and his great grandchildren, Amelia Dale and Sadie Switzer.
