He was predeceased by : his parents, George J. Cooney, and Sheryl P. Cooney, Jr. (DeLong); his father-in-law Robert Cross; his siblings-in-law, Ann Sanders and Eddie Moczek; and his nephews, Jason and Joshua Worrell.
He is survived by : his wife Lisa Cooney; his daughter Kelly Brown (Tim); his grandchildren, Jaiyden Kanney, Maiyson Cooney and Briar Hill; his sisters, Ann Ellington (Ben) and Mona Essig (Jeffrey); his nephews, John Essig and Joe Essig (Valerie); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Roman and Londyn; his nieces and nephews, Noah Dettweiler, Ben Ellington II, Blake Ellington and Lucas Ellington; his mother-in-law Phyllis Cross; his siblings-in-law, Linda Fisher (Tyson), Daniel Davis (Dorothy) and Ed Sanders; his close friends, Terry Mayle, Leslie Passwaters and Travis Bowling; and also, Brooke Beers, Colson, Jeremy Sanders, Shawn Sanders, Harley Gibson, Heather Moczek and Christina Moczek.
