Frances W. Preston Obituary
We announce the death of Frances W. Preston of Waynesville, Ohio, who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 95. Frances will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Frances will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Frances will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Frances’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Martin Preston; her children, Bessie King, Daniel Ross and Bonnie Bird; and her parents, Charles Paul and Ethel Mae Rhoads (Yonker).
She is survived by: her children, Dessie McIntosh, Cindy Hayes, Penny Anne Coleman and Roger Ross (Sonja). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; over 35 great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428).
