He was predeceased by : his parents, Helen Mahoney and Thomas F. Mahoney; his brothers, Thomas Mahoney (Jeanne) and Gerard Mahoney (Geraldine); his mother-in-law Anna Cirello; and his brother-in-law John Cirello.

He is survived by : his wife Anne; his children, Michael (Sara), Bryan (Angie) and Megan; his grandchildren, Matt, Anna Kate, Taylor of Danny, A. J. and Sean; his sister Peggy (Robert Brady); and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Filep (Jack) and Frances Cirello. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in remembrance of Mike to one of his cherished causes: Marianist Mission, Christ Child Society, or Hospice of Dayton.
