She was predeceased by: her significant other Jess Taylor; her parents, Hescoe Retherford and Emma Retherford; her son-in-law Forrest Byrd; and her siblings, Paul Retherford, Gladys O'Brien, Helen Edwards, Doris Bryant and Marilyn Dickerson.
She is survived by: her children, Jess Taylor Jr. (Pat), Pam Coyle (Tom), Diana Byrd and Denise "Neacy" Schneble (Marty); and her grandchildren, Becka (Mike), Travis, Nick (Missy), Dusty (Christina), Aaron (Marcie), Sarah (Derek) and Adam. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and many other family members, neighbors, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Red Brick Social Room (407 High St, Waynesville, OH 45068).
