He was predeceased by: his brother Arthur J. Spencer (late Dorothy) of Warwick, RI; and his parents, Harold A. Spencer and Margaret M. Spencer. He is survived by: his wife Shirley M. Spencer (Fogell); his daughter Karen M. Salyers (Bill) of Waynesville, OH.; his grandchildren, Katelyn Evans (Christopher), Patrick Salyers (Bethany) and Abigail Thompson (William); his great grandchildren, Declan, Piper, Andrew, Eleanora, Addison and Patton; his nephew Stephen Spencer; and his niece Kathleen Kay.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
