He was predeceased by : his son Edward Allen Drake, Jr.; and his siblings, Mike Drake and Kitty Afzal. He is survived by : his son Jim Drake; his grandchildren, Bryonna, Marcus, Chyanne, Dallas and Skylar; his great grandchildren, Leeland, Delilah and Haysten; and his siblings, Johnny Drake, Steve Drake, Phil Dawson and Beverly Drake.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home - Ashland (1058 US-250, Ashland, OH 44805). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ashland County Memorial Park (1058 US-250, Ashland, OH 44805).
