She was predeceased by : her parents, Hiram Stokes and Lila Stokes; her husband George Thornton; her daughter Brenda Tinsley; and her brother Paul Stokes.
She is survived by : her children, Sonny Stokes of Wellington, Lisa Copeland of Wellington and Allen Fitzgerald of Wellington; her grandchildren, Justin, Kyle, Chris, Diamond and Dante; her great grandchild Riley; and her siblings, Janice, Raymond and Bud.
