It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lester Matcham (Wellington, Ohio), who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest S. Matcham and Lena E. Matcham (Coates); his daughter Deborah Smith; his siblings, Forrest Jr., Dale (Shirley), Robert Matcham Louise Anderson and Laura Sooy (Russell); and his brother-in-law Tony Marley.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Matcham (Lang); his children, Ron (Mary Anne) of Homerville and Diane Willcocks (Wayne) of Mt. Gilead; his son-in-law Denny Smith; his grandchildren, Norma, Reena, Zach (Ali), Danny, Kyle, Brendan and Nick (Paige); his siblings, Paul Matcham and Linda Marley; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Matcham. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brighton United Methodist Church (51011 OH-18, Wellington, OH 44090). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
