He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Wesley Pittenger and Wilma Jean Burke Pittenger; his son Herb Wesley Pittenger; and his siblings, Emma Farney, Bob Pittenger and Paul Pittenger.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Pittenger, Michele Pittenger and Ronald Pittenger, Jr.; his grandchildren, Zoe Franklin, Javon Pittenger and Kasey Pittenger; his close friend Francie Rosemarie Jonas; and his siblings, Sue Smith, Mabel Williams, Nancy Tennent, Bill Ghearing, Polly Todd, Marilyn Coles, Kenny Pittenger and Gene Carpenter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion Post 371.
In lieu of flowers, the family request trees be planted in Ron's memory either locally or by donating to The Arbor Day Foundation at [email protected].
