He was predeceased by: his parents, Lottie Berry and Verlin Berry; his wife Carol Berry; his daughter Jane Carol Smith; his sisters, Imogene Owens (James) and Azilee Davis (Paul); and his sister-in-law Nita Carr Berry.

He is survived by: his grandson Tyler Smith; his brother Marson Berry (Carol); his nieces and nephews, Lisa Davis, Kim Visage, Monica McKenzie, Gary Owens, Ken Owens and Neal Berry; his stepchildren, Debbie McAfee (Bob), Vickie Blair (Tim) and Rod Biser; his stepgrandchildren, Heather Fourman (Dustin), Amanda Brewer (Jason) and Kelly McAfee; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Cody Fourman, Austin Fourman, Laney Fourman (Corey Quinn), Reagan Brewer, Olivia Wollenhaupt, Lyla Brewer, Wilson Brewer and Paisley Quinn; and his close friends, Dan Jacobson, John Czizma, Wally, Don Lee, Eric Teague and Mike Geist.
