We announce the death of James H. Boyd of West Chester, Ohio, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 92. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew James will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Boyd and Cora Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Alma (Kees); and his children, James Edwin Boyd (Sue), Steven Wayne Boyd (Debbie), Howard Terence Boyd (Linda), Denise Anne Boyd and Cynthia Marie Mays (Richard). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and their spouses: and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hodapp Funeral Homes - West Chester (8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Hodapp Funeral Home (8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069).
