Karen Tanis Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Tanis of West Chester, Ohio, born in Rochester, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2026 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her husband Chuck Tanis; her parents, Elizabeth McLaughlin (Toots) and Charles McLaughlin; her brother Eugene Rissinger; and her sister-in-law Dorthy Rissinger.

She is survived by: her daughter Kelly Tanis; her brother Chuck McLaughlin (Geri); and her nieces and nephews, Tara Rissinger, Allison Yee (Gary), Sandra Perry, Linda Davis, Casey McLaughlin, Daniel McLaughlin, Steve Tanis (Peggy), Robert Tanis (Sarah), Paul Tanis and Marty Tanis. She is also survived by many great nieces & nephews, and many wonderful family friends.
