He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert McAtee and Chloe McAtee; his former wife Joyce McAtee; his grandparents, Mark and Flora McAtee; his stepfather Wadsworth Godman; and his sister Jo Ann Quick (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis McAtee; his daughters, Denita Stephens (Danny) and Lari Neal (Howie); his grandchildren, Joy, Jeffrey (Leslie), Andrew (Sarah), Matthew (Maddie), Jillian (Charlie), Shawn, Devin and Reuben (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Chloe, Jayna, Gavin and Mario; and his siblings, Doris McAtee and Gary Godman I.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Serenity Baptist Church (9000 Cox Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
