He was predeceased by: his parents, John Herring and Clara Herring; and his son Stephen Herring. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Sue Herring; his children, Sharon Harding (Jay), Todd Herring (Debbie) and Eric Herring (Kristine); and his grandchildren, Whitney Fagin (Josh), Erica Farler (Tyler), Ricci Hoover (Reeve), Carrie Pineda (Andrew), Eleanor Herring and Annabelle Owens (Will). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
