With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carrie L. Bates of West Jefferson, Ohio, born in Gallipolis, Ohio, who passed away on June 6, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Lewis and Mary Lewis; her brother Charles Lewis; and her grandson Mason Hall. She is survived by: her children, Tim Lewis (Sue Brown), Amy Bates (Richard George), Kimberly Knapp (Steve) and Brenda Bates; her former husband Raymond Bates; her grandchildren, Ceonna Hall (Dan), Madison Whitt, Cameron Whitt, Steven Knapp, Kirsten Goodrich and Morgan Bates; her great grandchildren, Aubree Hall, Corbin Hall, Jackson Hall and Lilith Whitt; and her siblings, Tim Lewis, Frank Lewis (Jeanie) and Rosemary Lewis (Jim Tabor). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home (1355 W Main St, West Jefferson, OH 43162).
