He was predeceased by: his father Randall Long; and his stepfather Chris Stevens. He is survived by: his fiancée Amy O'Malley; his mother Debbie Stevens (Stevens); his sisters, Leza Holloway (Derrick) and Chloe Long; his sons, Kade Long, Kai Carpenter and Wyatt O'Neal; and his nephews, Cooper and Maxton Holloway.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Jefferson Youth Athletic Association (WJYAA), P.O. Box 305, West Jefferson, OH 43162, an organization Shilowe felt strongly about.
