He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester "Bus" Shuck and Marie Shuck (Mowery); his siblings, Marilyn A. Lauvray and James Shuck; and his niece Tarra Shuck.

He is survived by: his wife Janet McFarland; his sons, Chris Shuck (Susan) of West Lafayette and Tim Shuck of West Lafayette; his grandchildren, Bethany Shuck, Benjamin Shuck and Joseph Holmes; and his siblings, Rick Shuck and Teresa Stiteler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
