With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Guy Powell of West Lafayette, Ohio, who passed away on November 16, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis D. Powell and Jessie Powell (Reed); his grandchildren, Karalee Powell and Krista Powell; and his siblings, Donald Powell, Charles Powell, Thelma Rosalie Cochran Goss and Evangeline Guthrie Zimmerman.

He is survived by : his wife Janet Powell (Sherrick); his children, Lewis Powell (Suzanne) of West Lafayette, Patricia Brown (Kenny) of Dresden, John Michael Powell (Kathy) of Coshocton, David Powell of West Lafayette, Sandy Lee (Bob) of Mogadore and Jamie Powell of Massillon; and his siblings, Jim Powell (Kaye) of Sebring and Louissa Geese (Marc) of Fresno. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Animal Shelter or Interim Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
