He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Patterson and Mary Ann Patterson (Stonebrook); and his siblings, John, Earl, Keith, Charles, Jack, Max, Larry, William Patterson, Ellen Pickrell and Marjorie Lorenz.
He is survived by: his pets, Porky, Freckles, Ginger and Smokey; his wife Joan Lee Patterson (Jennings); his daughters, Amy Skarke (Matt) of Coshocton and Melissa Bethel (Leroy) of Coshocton; his grandchildren, Sunni Howell (Brian), Davey Garber-Reeder (Alan), Kevin Bethel (Brooke), Kyle Bethel (Karlie), Kasey Bethel (Sierra) and Garrett Bethel (Kimberly); his great grandchildren, Titan Elson, Reid, Zachary, Brady Howell, Amelia, Grant, Delilah, Aurora, Beau and Romee Bethel; and his siblings, Pat Blickensderfer of West Lafayette, Doris Mellor of West Lafayette, Susan Patterson of West Lafayette and Chester Patterson (Margaret) of High Springs, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (639 Main St, Coshocton, OH 43812). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
