With sadness, we share the passing of Ronald L. Hensel of West Manchester, Ohio. Ronald, born on May 13, 1942, passed away on September 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Ronald for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Ronald’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Hensel and Donna Hensel (Armstrong); and his former wife Karen Hensel. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Alverson of West Manchester; his children, Keith Hensel (Carol) of West Manchester, Karolyn Stipek (Russ) of Butler Township and Kathy Shelley (Rodney) of West Manchester; and his stepchildren, Julia Bartlow (Mark) of Bloomfield, IN and Jon Alverson (Myranda) of Fishers, IN. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren and 17 step great grandchildren; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Castine Church (624 US-127, Arcanum, OH 45304). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
