She was predeceased by: her parents, John Yoho and Gathyl Yoho (Bechtel); and her husband Bernard "Bernie" Bates. She is survived by: her children, Steve Bates (Darlene) of West Mansfield, Scott Bates (Linda) of West Mansfield and Sondra Bates (Lori Matassa) of Phoenix, AZ; and her grandchildren, Brandy Liles (Jay), Bridget Bates (John Holden), Brad Bates (Mikki), Brian Bates (Chaya), John Bates (Jamie), Emily Pena (Derrick) and Holly Mays (Nicholas). She is also survived by her 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the West Mansfield Methodist Church (212 E Center St, West Mansfield, OH 43358). A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to the West Mansfield Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
