He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Thacker and Myrtle Neeley Thacker; and his sister Nancy Wright. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Eileen Scott Thacker; his daughter Lori Shively (Ray) of Stout; his granddaughter Megan Malhotra; his great grandchild Luca Malhotra; his siblings, William "Bill" Thacker of Keizer, Sharon Clark (Charlie) of Portsmouth and Tim Thacker (Wendy) of West Portsmouth; and his caregivers, Tammy Brumfield, Mary, Kayla, Joanne, Amanda and Chrissy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
