As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorys Marie (Walker) and John Benny McNeilan Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Jane McNeilan of West Union; his children, Meagan McNeilan of West Union and Christopher McNeilan (Amber Campbell); his siblings, Cindy Hansgen of West Union, Theresa Frey of Nevada, Ruth Modlin of West Union and Randy McNeilan of Winchester; and his grandson Samuel McNeilan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home (216 W Mulberry St, West Union, OH 45693). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at the West Union Cemetery.
