She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul E. Shaffer and Dorothy M. Shaffer (Augsburger); her husband Lloyd W. Bowman; her children, Lloyd F. Bowman, Susan K. Bowman and Carolyn J. Wolf; and her son-in-law Tom DePoy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jane Fry (Ervin Fender) of Auburn, Linda Smith (Dana) of Bryan, Beth Surfus (Alan) of Markle, Sandy Bowman of Stryker and Annette Zaper (Ron) of Whitehouse, Ohio; her daughter-in-law Susan Schafer (Rodney) of West Unity; and her half-brother Dr. Robert Shaffer (Debra) of Grand Rapids, Michigan.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
