She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferl Buckingham and Bernice Buckingham (Wood); her stepmother Mildred Buckingham (Hanvill); her brothers, Arden and Lee Buckingham (James); her son Eric; and her grandson Edward Harper.

She is survived by: her husband James; her children, Philip Harper of Columbus, Karen Wiant (Jon) of Rochester Hills and Janis Cornelius (Gary) of Galena; her daughter-in-law Mirna Harper; and her sisters, Ann Zeta Carpenter and Bernice Siegesmund. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and many dear nieces and nephews.
