He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Doran and Jean Doran (Mitchell). He is survived by: his wife Janine Gerst; his sons, Kyle Doran (Erin) and Kevin Doran (Christine); his grandchildren, Leila, Maggie, Tessa, Jax and Colby; and his sister Carol Poole (Doran) of Rochester, NY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Egan-Ryan Funeral Home (4661 Kenny Rd, Columbus, OH 43220). He was a constant, steady presence in their daily lives—helping navigate virtual learning during the pandemic, handling morning and afternoon school drop-offs, and maintaining a packed weekend calendar so he never missed a single one of their events.
