He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Szubski-Ropes; his son Kevin Ropes (Jill); his grandchildren, Andrew Ropes and Alyssa Dunne (David); his great grandchildren, Nolan and Declan; his sister Margaret "Peg" Tamberella; his stepchildren, James Szubski (Jill), Marietta Szubski and Nanette Kelley (Jim); and his stepgrandchildren, Aidan, Liam, Brydie, Declan, Lily, Gerik and Evelyn.
