He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Catherine; his brothers, Jack (Penny) and Michael; and his siblings' children, Jackie Burns (Krista) and Danny Zahn (Traci).
He is survived by: his sisters, Eileen Burns (Jack), Peggy Zahn (late Dan), Patty Schmitz (Tom) and Nancy Given (Bob); and his siblings' children, Sean Burns (Christie), Michael Burns (Jill), Colleen Sas (Jeff), Erin Kelley (Tom), Tommy Schmitz (Christina), Katie Schaefer (Duke), Bridget Bringman (Kevin), Seamus O'Donnell (Alyssa), Maggie Given, Brendan Given (Alexandra), Katie Dear (BJ) and Megan Gallagher.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home of Westlake (25620 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, OH 44145). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Christopher Church (20141 Detroit Rd, Rocky River, OH 44116).
