He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sons, David (Linda) and Douglas; his siblings, Michael Hill (Diana), Jeffrey Hill and Suzan Smith (late Michael); his mother-in-law Sybil Carpenter; his brothers-in-law, Kevin Carpenter (Jill) and Alan Carpenter; and his godson Matthew Smith.
