It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Lee Detty Sr. of Wheelersburg, Ohio, born in Wellston, Ohio, who passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Miller and Doris Detty King; his stepfather Don King; his siblings, Albert Detty and Jewell Gill; and his friend Mike Leighty.
He is survived by : his wife Glinda Creech Detty; his children, Darrell "Pete" Detty Jr. of Wellston, Tim Phipps of Apple Creek, Delbert Detty (Letha) of Portsmouth, Krista Fath, Karie Detty of Ulmer, SC and Pamela Creech of Grove City; and his siblings, Delbert Jones (Barb), Jack Cash of Wellston, Randy King (Barb) of Colton, Debbie Speakman (Buck) of Wellston, Jane Rader (Roger) of Wellston, Donna Kelly of Wellston and Terri Wilber of Wellston. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
