It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Dean Matiz of Wheelersburg, Ohio, born in Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Matiz and Mildred Matiz; his brother Randy Matiz; and his in-laws, Cecil and Alene Callihan.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Matiz; his daughters, Jennifer Estep (Michael) of Wheelersburg and Andrea Otis (Stephen) of Monkton; his grandchildren, Bailee Estep, Rilee Estep, Ava Estep, Eli Otis and Emily Otis; his friends, Lanie and Layla Dawes; and his siblings, Phil Matiz of Portsmouth and Debby Schulze of Columbus. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many, many dear friends.
