She was predeceased by: her parents, Tipton Pieratt and Mable Pieratt (Crawford); her husband Billy Litz; her sons, Steve Litz and Sam Litz; her nephew Bobby Litz; and her siblings, Ossie Pieratt, David Pieratt, Vyda Fannin, Louise Miller, Dorothy Everman and Sue Clevenger.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Joe Litz (Benita) of Portsmouth and Nanita "Suzy" Adams (Ted) of Wheelersburg; her niece Evette Fields (Tim) of Circleville; her grandchildren, BJ, Jodie, Amber of Amy, JP, Tyler, Timmy and Caleb; and her stepgranddaughters, Felicia Adkins (David) and Michelle Martin.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations in Joan's honor to be made to First Church of Christ in Wheelersburg.
