He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Boyd and Tanie Haggard Boyd; his daughter Julie Johnson; his son-in-law Mark Chumley; and his sister Mary E. Adkins.

He is survived by : his wife Naomi Craft Boyd; his daughter Bethany Boyd Chumley of Dublin; his grandchildren, Caitlin Yarovinski (Oleg) and Alex Johnson; and his great grandchild Charlotte Yarovinski.
