It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Lucille Smith of Wheelersburg, Ohio, born in Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. "Willy" McGraw and Gladys Mae Evans McGraw; her husbands, Ray Roscoe Moore and Donald Edward Smith; her daughter Ethel Marie Moore; her siblings, Rufus, Junior McGraw, Mary Martindale and Marie McGraw; and her granddaughter Angie Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Michael R. Moore (Toni), Daniel D. Moore (Amy), Gregory P. Moore and Utahna C. Smith; her adoptive children, Jonathan E. Smith and Taren Smith; her sisters, Phyllis Hawthorne, Wanda Adkins and Mae Forbey; her grandchildren, Daniel Moore Jr. (Amy), Erin Pyle (Josh), Stacey Moore, Tom Moore, Michael Moore and Jake (Anna); and her stepgrandchildren, Keith R. Lee, Scott Tobias (Brandi), Chris Tobias (Gena) and Carl A. Tobias.
