He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fleitz and Evelyn Fleitz (Curtis); his wife Rosemarie Fleitz (Schneider); his siblings, Jean Nowakowski (Henry), Rosie St Julian (Jim) and Fred (Chris); and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Henig (Franz), Dorothy Johnston (William), Mary Juers (Milton), Jimmy Schneider, Louie (MaryAnn) and Gene Schneider (Barbara Living).
He is survived by: his children, James Fleitz of Dallas, Gwendolyn Smith (Jeffrey) of Maumee, Jacqueline Nowak (Mark) of Swanton and Sue Ruffier (Richard) of Swanton; his grandchildren, Connie Roeleven (Hans), Steven Smith (Kim), Richard Ruffier (Alyssa), Victoria Loranc (Nick), Christopher Ruffier, Nicole Ruffier and Colton Fleitz; and his siblings, Robert Fleitz (Joan Deased), Tom Fleitz (Carmen) and Evelyn Day (Ken). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home- Waterville Chapel (7220 Dutch Rd, Waterville, OH 43566). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home (7220 Dutch Rd, Waterville, OH 43566). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (104 W Broadway St, Maumee, OH 43537).
