He was predeceased by: his mother Ilo Tyger (Snyder); his sister Marsha Freshwater (Carl); his uncle Zane Snyder (Betty); and his parents-in-law, William and Helen McComb.

He is survived by: his wife Sue McComb; his children, Erik Tyger (Bethel) of Waterville and Sarah Smith (Brian) of Toledo; his siblings, Wayne Tyger (Irene) of Waterford, Eileen Adams (Greg) and Bill McComb (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Emily, Austin, Natalie, Sean Tyger, Arielle and Audrey Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
