He was predeceased by: his parents, David Sr. Tackett and Tressie Tackett (Kilgore); and his siblings, Cathrine Tackett and Jerry Kilgore Tackett. He is survived by: his wife Mary Tackett (Aichholz); his sons, John H. Tackett (Melissa), Edward F. Tackett (Jody) and Brian R. Tackett; his grandchildren, Justin (Megan), Jake, Kyle (Danielle), Allison (Jose), Will and Jonas; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Briar and Evan; his siblings, Wilda Barnett (Junior), Maxine Collins, Charles Tackett (Sherry), Linda Montgomery (Wilbur) and David Jr. Tackett (Sheila); his niece Jenna; and his nephew Jason Gibson.

Memorial contributions can be made to Mercy Hospital of Willard or the donor's choice.
