It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie L Griffith of Willard, Ohio, born in Grundy, Virginia, who passed away on October 15, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James; her son Eddie Griffith; her parents, Fred Rife and Watie Rife; and her siblings, Ervin, Johney, Huffard, Leonard, Fred Rife, May Jackson and Fay Hess.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Griffith (Patty) of Parma, Officer James Griffith (Denise) of Parma Heights, Rev. Greg Griffith (Rene) of Willard and Shirley Pineda (Neftali) of Willard; and her sisters, Genevieve Blankenship of Cedar Bluff, VA, Coia Payne of Louisburg, NC and Lorraine Deel of Vansant, VA.. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Willard Church of God.

“I may not have known Marie as long or as deep as some of you but this is what I know. ..She was filled with Love! That Love spilled over time and time again. She met no stranger and always had a helping hand held out to help those in need. Walking into her little store on main street wasn't about how much money she would make but how could she help bless that person. She was in her glory at the food pantry. Filling the arms of those in need. I feel blessed to be a small part of her life. ❤️🙏❤️”
