Karmin; her great grandchild Tristan G. Thompson; her great great grandchild Ahni E. Bass; and her siblings, J. C. Smith, Lazarus H. Smith, Lee W. Smith, Willis C. Smith, Christopher C. Smith, Jr., Harold W. Smith, John W. Smith, Edna L. Hargrove, Sadie M. Hayes and Mary L. Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl L. Thompson-Taylor (late Donal), Denise L. VanLeer (David), Adrian D. Thompson (Tracy), Valerie S. Saunders (late Darin) and Christopher A. Thompson (Tricia); and her sisters, Ida R. Smith, Martha L. Smith and Lillian E. Gregory. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
