He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Gayheart and Ruby Gayheart (Henderson); his siblings, Layuna Gayheart, Pearleane Gayheart, Phyllis Caudill, Bobby Gene, Dwayne, James and Sonny Gayheart; and his nephew James Gayheart Junior.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Gayheart (Spears); his children, Billy Gayheart (Bridget), Misty Kline (Matt) and Kimberly Kilgore (Aaron); and his siblings, Vurnis, Jeff Gayheart, Vernice Wagner and Freda Rowe. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
