He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hart and Mable Uppole Hart; his former wife Beverly Kent Hart; his wife Carol Hart; and his brother Jim Hart.

He is survived by: his daughters, Shirley Grogg (Tom) of Belpre and Sherrie Shingleton (Roy) of Parkersburg; his stepchildren, Kimberly Pickrell (Doug) of Waverly and Ronald Ward (Melissa) of Burgaw, NC; his grandchildren, Andrew Grogg (Tess), Rachel Perry (Alex), Latasha Browne (Matthew), Brittney McIntire (Tyler) and Cody Shingleton; and his brothers, Terry Hart (Ann) of Barlow and Rick Hart of Parkersburg. He is also survived by 7 step-grandchildren; eight great grandkids.
