He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carrol Swinler Sr. and Anna Swinler (Wells); his wife Dianne Swinler; his son John Clayton Swinler; his brother James C. Swinler Jr.; and his grandchildren, Alexis Rose Swinler and Michael Cormack.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Orland (John), George Swinler Jr. (Jacqueline), Paul Swinler (Adrian), Deborah Life and Ron Swinler (Hannah). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home - Parkersburg (403 7th St, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
