He is survived by: his wife Mansoureh Raouf; his sons, Bijan (Roshanak Izadbakhsh), Farshid (Kathy Ryder), Farshad (Marjan Izadbakhsh) and Kamran (Debbie Hellwig); his grandchildren, Dounya (Kenny), Navid, Kayvon (Erica), Roya, Omeed, Hasti, Leah, Shiva, Mena and Arash; and his great grandchildren, Cyrus and Kian Gharemani.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Sy's memory to a homeless shelter or a local food bank.
